Whole Hog Share - Custom Processed: Our Berkshire/American Guinea Hog cross pigs are lovingly bred, born, and raised here on our farm in Jonesville, NC on pasture and forest with regenerative farming practices. This heritage breed cross is excellent for meat quality and fat-to-meat ratio. Our hogs are never medicated or vaccinated in any way, and we don’t use toxic chemicals on our farm. Besides the pigs’ normal forage of roots, grasses, and nuts, we supplement with locally grown stone-milled feed and fruits/vegetables. Our customers rave about how delicious our pork is; you'll never want to go back to grocery store pork! We have whole and half hog shares available usually within two to four weeks. Meat is custom processed to your specifications and vacuum-sealed. Cost including slaughter and processing is $4.75 per pound of hanging weight for a whole hog and $5 for half. Our total hanging weight is usually between 200 and 260 lbs. (100 and 130 for a half hog share) but can vary. About Fox Knob Farm



Fox Knob Farm specializes in heritage breed pastured pigs and piglets. Christopher and Deborah are living their dream: using regenerative agricultural practices combined with the almost-lost knowledge from the past to raise animals for meat that have the power to restore health and the soil at the same time. It has been said that the soil is the lungs of the earth, and it's ills are the greatest threat to our planet and human thriving. We are slowly restoring an old tobacco farm with 60 acres, several outbuildings with stone foundations, natural springs, and acres of old-growth forest. It was abused and abandoned for a long time, so we have our work cut out for us. We never use antibiotics, vaccines, or any harsh chemicals anywhere on our farm. Our pigs forage and root on our pastures and in our woods, and are supplemented with local feed ground at a local mill. Every pig we sell has been lovingly born and raised here on our farm. We have cross-bred two heritage breeds, Berkshire and American Guinea Hog, for heartiness, meat quality, and a good fat-to-meat ratio. We have recently added a Duroc boar to create some hybrid vigor! Areas We Serve: Our farm is located in Jonesville, North Carolina which is near Elkin in the Northwest part of the state. Although we do not currently ship any products, we can easily work with customers in the Winston-Salem, Statesville, Wilkesboro, and Mt. Airy areas. We sell half and whole hog shares and happily welcome our customers for a farm tour (by appointment). We look forward to providing your family with healthy, delicious meat!
